- About Yourself
I was born in Uganda. My ESL journey thus began back in primary school as is the case for most children in the former British colonies. I came to Japan 10 years ago, and I have worked mainly in the so called "Eikaiwa" school situation, with age groups from 3 to over 70 years. I completed the course in September 2006. During and after the course I also took up a part time university job.The EFL situation that Japan is has its own unique challenges, but I have learned a lot through teaching and through the MA program, and I am always glad to draw from my own past experience as an ESL learner. My interests include Teacher Education, Program coordination in particular, Global issues in LT, and teaching English to children. When I am not engaged in these things, I like chatting with my wife and watching our favorite TV programs. Hello to the MASH pioneers!! I am so hopeful MASH will wake me up from a full year's post-Bham laziness.
